‘There is an urgent need for a review.’

In its pre-Budget report for the Adult Social Care inquiry the Communities and Local Government Committee has said the Chancellor should bring forward £1.5billion of funding from the improved Better Care Fund to plug the hole in social care funding in the year ahead (2017/18).

The Communities and Local Government Committee has called on the government to commit to closing the funding gap in adult social care for the rest of this Parliament through to 2020.
