Being a women’s sector lobbyist in Northern Ireland: the right role, right now.

Since leaving the women’s sector in 2012, I have witnessed slow progress on challenges faced by the sector and the issues for women who used the services offered by women’s voluntary and community organisations.

Curiously, the budget cuts to services and the inaction of policy-makers in Northern Ireland seem, in the main, to afflict issues affecting women, children and families.
