A Pakistani man, identified as Mohammed Zayer Khan Qol, was beheaded on Sunday after he was found guilty of smuggling drugs into the Gulf state by the Saudi authorities. 
The accused was convicted of smuggling a large amount of heroin into the country.
According to a tally based on official figures, the Saudi had alone carried out 76 executions in 2012, though the Human Rights Watch quote the number as 69. 
Under the Islamic law followed in the country, crimes as rape, murder, recantation, drug trafficking among others are punishable with death penalty.
